Re: Horror films you want to see be novelized

^^ But only up until Narcissus in Chains. After that... Nah. I used to love that series.

Re: Horror films you want to see be novelized

Oh god almost forgot the remake of The Hills Have Eyes, an awesome film.

@DG & Ms. G-  (going with the book --> movie/TV theme)
Agree about Anita Blake, after Narcissus it started being all porny-like.  I gave up after The Harlequin.  The first couple of books would be good movie/TV fare.

Others-

We were enjoying True Blood for a while, but it started getting so far away from the books we just stopped.

Feehan's Carpathian series was good for a while, then kind of fell apart.  Probably wouldn't make a good movie.

Harrison's Rachel Morgan series was good.  I could see that getting converted.

Vampy likes Kenyon's Dark Hunter series.  I have no idea.

Re: Horror films you want to see be novelized

Just realised that Predator already got a novel.

I hope there will be a suspense horror novel for The Omen and it's sequel. Except for the fourth entry.

Re: Horror films you want to see be novelized

Paranormal Activity series and The Blair Witch Project (only the first film) Wonder how will they struggle with this? lol

Re: Horror films you want to see be novelized

I think the whole concept of writing a book based on a movie sounds ridiculous.  It only works the other way around..and usually it's slightly disapointing.

Re: Horror films you want to see be novelized

^^ For me it's actually a good way to get in to know the character more!

Re: Horror films you want to see be novelized

hey it's all a matter of opinion ALB.  if it works for you, all the better.  I just prefer to read books and imagine how they'd turn it into a movie rather that see a movie and then read a book based on something I've already watched.

Re: Horror films you want to see be novelized

Just bought the novel The Omen by the writer of the movie, might be good.

They should totally make a illustrated novelization of Nekromantik lol

Hell yeah! Perhaps it could come in pop-up form!! lol

Re: Horror films you want to see be novelized

Predator is a horror? neutral

Hmmm not sure on movie-to-novel, but I feel that John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness could benefit from more elaboration on the story + a fine tuning of the smaller details. Plus hearing the thoughts of some of the major (and minor) characters and fleshing them out some more. So that would be my choice.

Another interesting one to me is Knowing (2009). It will be cool if it was able to keep the creepy atmosphere of the movie.
