Absolutely, I heard it was downgraded to a tropical storm so that's good news that it won't do as much damage.

It's still a hurricane, but will fall to a tropical storm in about 12 hours, when it's close to landfall. We're supposed to get only 70MPH winds around then.

Yes it is still a hurricane but even when it winds down to a tropical storm the results are going to be bad. This is one HUGE storm system. Much worse than Irene they say.
I have friends in DC and New York.
Even the stock exchange shut down in New York and they have never shut down.

Something funny happened early, I was telling my mum about Sandy going to be very Blowy everything away, as my older brother heard me speaking and he thought I was talking about his new girlfriend Sandy.
My brother came in the room as said what did Sandy Blow money now ? lol

I'm going to be out tonight too. Just hope that there's still power at home when I get back...I'm strangely excited about this storm though. Although I hope everyone here will be ok...I just love Thunder and Lightning...

Sorry darkmistress but that picture is a fake. For the storm to be there in relation to the statue it would have to be over the mainland.

That pic could be from a normal thunderstorm. So it may be a real pic, but it's not from Sandy.

The storm just got real here, so if I'm gone for a while, it's power loss.
My experiments of using hamster wheels with the monkeys have yet to yield positive results. Mostly, they run really fast, then stop and spin around and around.
