Hurricane Sandy (Page 2) - General Chit / Chat.

There are so many severe weather emergencies in Detroit right now from the winds ahead of Sandy. This is crazy. I feel like I'm in the movie Twister right now. My friend in DC isn't allowed to leave his building because of the crazy weather. I'm so glad most people are being safe. Prayers with all those in effected areas

Oh my god, Sandy is hitting Michigan hard, not the brunt of the storm but we have record winds, it's freezing rain and SUPER windy right now, so many of state is w/o power around me (luckily not me). Schools are cancelled left and right. This is the most crazy weather i've seen in years

Only 3 inches of rain (so far), but I have a 20-foot, a couple of 10-foot, and hundreds of smaller branches down. None of the big one his the house. Looks like I got lucky- a town a few miles away had a dozen big trees and utility poles dropping all over power lines and cars. Still have 30mph winds going with sporadic rain.

Just heard that PA has 1.3million and NJ has 2million houses with no power. I got real lucky.

tree fell on my friend's car in Massachusetts and broke his back windshield, completely shattered it, kinda looks super cool.

Been watching this on the news today and I can't believe how insane it is. I really wish all of you who are anyway near it keep safe, and I'm hoping no-one else is killed or hurt during it. Some of the images are quite chilling, I can't imagine what it must be like to be there in it.

To see the difference in the river, look for line that looks like a road about the water behind the trees. In the 2nd pic see how you can barely make it out.
