Topic: pyrotechnics/special fx chemistry?

does anyone have any experience? can someone point me in the right direction? i can't wait to use the different color flames and dry ice in colored water. any thoughts?

i looked at the action essentials. it looks fun. adobe after effects has some pretty incredible effects too.
