Re: Last Mainstream movie you watched.
^^^ Never been a fan of the dude. Enjoyable but nothing more. I'd rather watch 30 seconds of Scarlett than an hour and a half of him.
Re: Last Mainstream movie you watched.
Ever seen his stuff from the 80s? Police Story, Project A part 2, Wheels on Meals, Dragons Forever? His US stuff is tame compared to the balls-to-the-wall extravaganzas he did in Hong Kong before heading west in the mid-90s.

Yeah seen some like Wheels On Meals but it's not what he does, it's the dude. Some we like, some we don't. This guy I don't....
Re: Last Mainstream movie you watched.
The Bourne Legacy: Not a solid entry into the series, but worth a watch. 6/10 Ted: I laughed my ass of throughout the movie. Not many films do that for me these days. 7/10

Another great afternoon of film watching with cool ones. THE COLOR PURPLE Man what an awesome masterpiece this thing is. My all times favorite fromSpielberg without a fucking doubt. Woopy is just incredible in this and the photography is totally drop dead gorgeous. Yup, got all I need in a movie. Great story, great shots. 666/10 JONAH HEX H3LL I LOOOVE Josh Brolin, the dude's just amazing. And I loved how he plays his character. And there's nothing else I can say about Megan Fox more than I'd screw her for months in a row without stopping. She's beyond gorgeous. I loved how the dude can talk to the dead and his gun is way too cool. I love gatling guns, love them and his is a monster weapon that's for sure. 9/10

A Haunted House... Wayans attempt at another spoof is good for the most part, it does what it's meant to with gross out sexual humor

Schwarzenegger's The Last Stand (2013) Lots of action, of course, but a fair bit of humor, too! My dad and I both rather enjoyed it. And for once, the trailer didn't give away all the good scenes. 8/10

"Mean Creek' it's a great movie from the mid 2000s that has Josh from Drake and Josh and one of the Culkin brothers, Rory I think. Great story about bullying, revenge and the results of that. Pretty dark movie for the age of the kids in it, but wonderful movie. It's not a common mainstream release so it's harder to find, but worth it if you can find it.

The Web (1947) - 7.5/10 I went into this thinking it was going to be a B-movie horror flick due to Vincent Price playing the lead role and the fact that the title can be mistaken to mean a literal spider's web, but nope. I got a straight up crime drama, which is cool too. I'm not a big fan of Noir myself, but this was a pretty decent film. I figured who was behind the mayhem earlier than I probably should have, but it has a solid cast, it's engaging, and even a little charming.

Tried watching The Man with the Iron Fists earlier this morning. Couldn't even sit through it, it was so awful. What the hell was a quality actor like Russell Crow doing in this piece of shit???

^ Man, that sucks to hear this. I was really looking forward to seeing/enjoying it too. @ Az; let me know what you thought of it when you get a chance to watch it.

It's weird. I think what Rza was going for was an old-school chop-socky flick, but the score is typical Rza trip-hop, the story's all over the place, the fights are extremly wire and CGI-heavy and ill-paced and despite it obviously being a period piece set in roughly 1600s China, everybody speaks English and Rza uses modern gangsta lingo. I can see where he's drawing all his influences from, namely classic Change Cheh/Shaw Bros kung fu flicks, but it just wasn't working for me. Like, at all.

As much as I love horror films, I'm as passionate about martial arts films. I'm just going to take your guys word for it and not bother watching: TMWTIF. True Legend (2010): Second viewing. Man-oh-man, this is a awesome martial arts film. Good story line, and great choreographed fight scenes. 8/10 The Untouchables: Been quite a few years since watching this film. I had forgotten just how much I liked it. 7/10
