Re: Last horror movie you watched?

Finally watched The Collection. I've waited for it for such a long time and was very skeptic on one hand but very excited on the other.
I love The Collector and I thought that the second one will be good, because it's the same writers, same star, some really talented people working on the visuals.
Well, I was very disappointed. They tried to appeal to wider audience and made it bigger but the whole point of the original was the fact it took place at a house and almost didn't have any dialogue and it was flawless.

The second one is just a mess.

This is my favorite of them all. Loved the scene where she kills the dude watching Porn wit a broken bottle, her face is just lovely. AND creepy.

Last night I was in an Underworld trip.
Watched them all again. It's the movies I watched the most often. Can't count how many times.
Definitely my favorites movies of all times. I can't find any default in them at all. Just pure very enjoyable perfection. And damn, Kate Beckinsale.
666/10

I think I should go back and watch them again smile

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

LOL! Must  be Collection night. Just  got back from a friends. To be honest I wasn't a big fan of the original. I should probably watch it again. But when I saw the red band trailer for this one I was like hmmm looks pretty nasty. Well it started off pretty strong and had moments throughout but the acting was bad and really no story to say so. I'll give it 6/10 for the gore factor.

p.s. I'll stick with my SAW franchise.

Hey me too!

I really liked it.  The story was really interesting and unique.  Katherine Isabelle is also a fox.  She's so good in this movie.

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

I thought it was utterly brilliant. It was unique and so riveting it kept me completely glued to the screen. Katherine Isabelle is gorgeous and she was insanely good in this. Honestly one of the best horror movies I can remember seeing in a long time. Bloody fantastic

That's unfortunate. The Collector took me by surprise as a really solid movie. Been looking forward to watching The Collection. Will see how it goes.

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

Watched this movie last night called "Scary or Die".  It's a compilation movie of like 5-6 different shorts.  It was ok.  Nothing I would watch a second time though.

I really liked the Collector as well!  I didn't know The Collection was the sequel.  I guess I will have to get on watching this one as well!

Pretty much how I felt about it. Decent effort at anthology horror but nothing to write home about. The clown freaked me out though, I don't like clowns!

Maaaaaaaaan the original clown that did the biting...What a blatant rip-off of Gacy.  Same face paint and everything.  And Gacy went after little boys!  Not giant, grown ass men.  So silly.

The Possession (2012)

I am so gutted, That I missed this cause of the PG 13 Ratting.

I didn't not expect this movie to be that scary or creepy but dame this movie was really good for PG 13.

I liked the fact the movie dose not drag at all in any scene, start of in first 15 before the movie get into busy with strange things

There were some really good decent creepy scenes in this movie,  The X-Ray scene was really tense and creepy. I loved that .

There did have really good atmosphere in some scenes that some of scenes tiny bit more creepy!

I enjoyed how the story came to a end, I Did not expected that to happen in the very last scene
at all, I did make me Jump.

The acting this movie was outstanding from the whole cast

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

Scream 4  -  I didn't like it at all.  Bad acting, bad plot, just bad.  The first scream is the only one worth watching.

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

^ I didn't like the 4th either, but I think the 2nd and 3rd are fun (as well as the first obviously).

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

Case 39

Nice atmospheric film. I liked the fact that it wasn't a "fire and brimstone" supernatural film. I was actually invested in Renee Z's (not looking it up) character and felt for her. The little girl was superb in her role. Though that type of ending usually gets the moan and groan treatment, I found it satisfying. 8.2/10

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

Ticks - awesome 90's horror film with some great goey practical effects. Glad if finally got the dvd release it deserved. 8/10

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

Chained (2012) - Jennifer Lynch is such a great director. Vincent D'Onofrio is excellent, right up there with Rooker in Henry. Technically, everything is done very well in this film, from the editing to the chilling sound efects and some brutal killings. My only issue was that it seems kinda illogical that someone could remain captured for almost a decade and harldy make much of an attempt to escape or overcome their captor somehow. But, that aside this was a great character study inside the mind of a brutal sadistic psychopath, and his reluctant protege.

8/10

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

You I won't believe the two movies i sat thought today

Bigfoot County (2012)

Swear, I don't were to start  with this movie as the movie just fellt

.......................................................................

.........................................................................

...................................................................................

..............................................................................................

..........................................................................................................

^ That, (The hidden meaning  in that was, the movie just felt Blank from start to end.

I felt the movie stayed on one stage and never really mood forward at all,

the bunch of scenes of nothing put together

Not one scene was scary or creepy at all,  not even one small bad scare scene make Jump or even blink

When I thought this movie  could not get any worse,

it goes into some kinda of hostage movie, some of cast end up going missing, you have no idea were they go.

I don't know, Maybe missed cause, I wasn't really paying to much attention to the movie near the end.

The end of the movie, made me laugh out so loud, it's so. so, SO, Badly done.

The acting this movie was very wooden from the whole cast, I Did not care one person in this movie at all, I found all very annoying

2 out 10

Next movie!
Bigfoot: The Lost Coast Tapes (2012)

Yeah,. yet another Big foot movie, which was made in the same, almost came out at the same as well, I am Clad I saw the other before this one.

I actually enjoyed one much more then  Bigfoot County (2012), This had bit more of plot to it and even filmed better.

I found the start of the movie very funny, there were really cool funny jokes that made me laugh out loud.

There were very likable characters in this movie, you care for at times, the movie dose break any new grounds in this found footage genre.

I found that this movie flowed really well, with a lot of action in the movie, there were some good decent images of creature, I say!

But we never fully scene the creature at all but we do see bit of the creature, we never really know if a who or what.

There some decent effect in this movie, which I really liked and there were some bloody moment in here and there but don't expected bloodbath or anything really gory as this movie, very little of it.

I maybe I liked this movie more then I should cause of Bigfoot County (2012), which is much worse then this movie.

I going to give this movie 4 no, I give it 5 out of 10

Behind The Mask The Rise of Leslie Vernon. A FAR better meta horror/deconstruction of the slasher sub-genre than Cabin In The Woods was of the Cabin in The Woods sub-genre. 9/10

Hunger: A scientist kidnaps five strangers and deprives them of food. He then studies them on camera to see what they will do to survive.

As the strangers begin to hunger. They start to turn on one another, and also go mad. When they really start to feel the hunger pains, they turn to cannibalism.

I wasn't expecting much from this film. It's direct to dvd, and a Fangoria release. I ended up enjoying it much more than expected. 6/10
