Love me some vampires!
Horror of Dracula (1958) is my favorite of the drac films. Classic Hammer film and Lee is my fav as Dracula.
Favorite vampire flicks...
The Lost Boys - Classic 80's goodness...whats not to love?!
Near Dark - Paxton is amzing in this, that and it breaks the mold of typical vamp flicks.
Fright Night - Just plain fun, campy, cool 80's f/x and one liner's out the wazoo!
From Dusk Till Dawn - The first time I saw this I was simply expecting an action flick, and was totally caught of gaurd by the final act...which was 100% badassery!
Innocent Blood - Joe Dante's mobster flick, throw in a sexy vampire and you get a fun, erotic and bloody good time!
Let Me In - I liked this version a bit more than tbe original telling. Its darker and less artsy and seems grittier, which j liked. As far as vampire flicks go, this one is quite different than most.
Stake Land - Add in a post apocalyptic setting and viola! Something fresh to add to the vampire sub-genre!
30 Days of Night - The perfect setting and situation for a vampire flick, there is also an amazing decapitation scene!
On a more serious note...
Interview with a Vampire - Well acted Ann Rice gothic goodness...prop's!
Bram Stoker's Dracula - The second best telling of the Dracula story imo...though probably the most acurate.
Nosferatu - Amazingly well done for a 90 year old silent film
