I've heard rumors that Paul Giamatti might be playing The Rhino in the Amazing Spider-Man 2. That's like casting Ice Cube to play The Vulture. I hope it's a miscast.

Nope, it's legit. Read about it on comicbookmovies.com a couple weeks back. Apparently he actually pursued the filmmakers to let him play the role, and they agreed and signed him on. He's the second villain in the flick, along with Jamie Foxx as Electro.
I'm cool with that. Giamatti's a fantastic actor, and despite his nerdy looks he plays furious REALLY freaking well. He can be downright scary at times. I'm sure they'll use a butt-load of CGI to build him up to 6'5", 700 lbs (at least that was the character's dimenions back in the 80s, despite modern artist drawing him like he's ten feet tall, the dopes).
I honestly wasn't all that interested in this sequel until it was announced Giamatti would be appearing. I didn't enjoy TASM enough to want a sequel, and while I like Jamie Foxx, the idea of him as a villain didn't make the earth move for me.

Yeah I like Giamatti. He was freaking INSANELY great in Shoot 'Em Up.
Love this flick, damn, how could I not, I'm a true hardcore fan of Monica Bellucci, seen EVERYTHING she did.
But her best was Dobberman with Cassel. What a crazy cool movie.
As a matter of fact, I'll watch it tonight, been way too long.

Maybe my assumptions could be wrong. When the film comes out I'll give him a chance. I just hope it isn't another Venom. I don't know what Raimi was thinking casting the goofy pale kid from That 70's Show and I was also hoping Venom would be scary looking because if Raimi can make scary Deadites then I was hoping he could make a scary Venom.
