Re: 100 Greatest Slashers of all time.

Here's a question, would movies like Wrong Turn, The Hills Have Eyes or Severance count as slashers?

Edit: Damn wasted my time compiling the list.

Re: 100 Greatest Slashers of all time.

Thelis -- I consider both Wrong Turn and The Hills Have Eyes slasher films.  I'm sure some others wouldn't, but I don't consider giallo flicks slashers and we're including them, so...  lol

Couldn't tell you about Severance, though.  Haven't seen it.

Re: 100 Greatest Slashers of all time.

I think the only difference between a giallo and a slasher (besides being Italian) is that they always have a mystery to solve.  Otherwise they have a large body count like a slasher does...

Re: 100 Greatest Slashers of all time.

^^^ That's the difference for me, too.  Not all murder mysteries are gialli, but all gialli are murder mysteries.  big_smile

Re: 100 Greatest Slashers of all time.

Well...if we are including them...

Yeah, I would consider Severance to be slasher.  You can throw in Botched and Gutterballs also.
