No I won't I love them!!! Hayley is way too cool. And hot. Gotta love redheads with nice voices. smile

DirtyGirl, cool buyings.

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

My good buddy Marc-ander fucker is actually seeing Nargaroth live now.
Damn lucky dude.

Can't wait to see what he filmed [he always does it and it's pretty cool].

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

So, I just discovered this band, 3 Inches of Blood, and they're awesome. They're like a mix between the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and some newer stuff.

I recommend checking this song out for those you haven't heard of them yet:

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

Yeah they're alright, I get the trad metal comparisonm but I don't think I would call them NWOBHM, they don't have that key rocking sound that most NWOBHM bands have. They just use falsettos a lot. Too much metalcore vocals just kills it for me. I've seen them live twice though, once opening for Motorhead (my ears had dried blood in them the next day) and once when another Canadian band The Illuminati were opening (who are bad ass by the way, sorta southern rock mixed with Motorhead). While I'm not big on their sound they do put on great shows, tons of energy and they know how to get the crown going.

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

Cool band and very cool song name The Creature.

And Motorhead have been the loudest concert's record holder for long in the days. So yeah they sure are today too.
What a show Motorhead is. So famn insanely good.

I personally LIKE LOOOUUUDDD!!! In fact in concerts I'm ALWAYS next to the speakers at the sides. Not far from the stage so I can see 'em good enough and jump on it when I feel like stage diving [which I'm telling you doesn't happen as it were, gettng old does that] and next to the pit in which I can't help it but jump right into even if I'm MUCH older than the crowd, a friend checks my spot while I do so when I come back, I'm back into the LOUD again.. I like to trash. A DAMN LOT!!! lol

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

Maybe it's cause I'm a krusty old fucker, but when shows are too loud, it takes away for me. If a show is too loud, especially extreme/tech metal, everything gets muddy and sounds of ass. I never get the ringing in the ears, but when I do, then the show was too loud. When I saw GWAR at the Phoenix Theater in Toronto 2 years ago, it was a scant too loud. About half way through their set, my ears were ringing, and that just doesn't happen. Even a the next afternoon, I had the low "hmmm".

My main beef with shows (breakdown kids and crowd surfing aside... don't get me started on that), is when the PA music in between bands is as loud as the band. WTF? I hate that shit so much. Especially when it's shit music. Day 1 of Heavy TO 2011 was horrible. It wasn't loud, it was fucking AC/DC all day... GUH!!! If there's one band thank makes me pine for being deaf, it's them.

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

I like that low hmmmmmmmmmm. And it doesn't bother me at all.
So I'm pretty sure one day my ears are gonna explode being so near to the speakers all the time. lol

Oh you don't like AC/DC??? You're part of a very small crowd, the ones that don't like them are few. I'm not part of this crowd. I like.

But the worst is when they put radio crap music in the PA in between bands in frreaking PUNK AND METAL shows. Are they nuts???

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

Oh BTW, my buddy Marc-ander fucker's You Tube channel is full of AMAZING Black, Doom, Death, Symphonic Metal and all kinds of sinister music for those that like, check it out...

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

I have seen both GWAR and Motorhead live and the noise didn't bother me at all.  And yes Motorhead was insanely loud!  lol

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

So we can definitely say that Lemmy IS Metal and Motorhead ARE LOUD!!!

As if we didn't know that already. lol

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

I've seen GWAR 15 times at this point, and that was the only time they've been too loud. I blame the venue tho. I've seen 5 shows there, and they've all been on the border of "too loud". Maybe it's just the setup of their PA or something. Like it's right at ear level no matter where I am or something.

Or I'm old. wink

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

Gwar are on awesome band to see live too. Just saw them the one time, but they were great. As for Motorhead, they are loud, but the loudestg band alive is Manowar, they even broke their own record a couple of years ago. That's a band I'd kill to see.

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

I find Motorhead to be overrated, nearly every song sounds the same.

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

I always hear that generalization, I mean they're no Judas Priest, but they do have a variation in their music, they have some slow bluesier songs in their catalog. Maiden never changed their style that much either, but they still kicked ass.

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

But Maiden songs sound different, and still manage to contain that Maiden feel to them. Motorhead just sound generic with Lemmy's voice over it. Nothing different from anyone else.

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

Man, I'm really enjoying 2 Quebec's Black Metal bands which sound like a ton of bricks. They sound so sinister and Evil it's mad.
Saw Forteresse last year and it was Darker than Dark. big_smile

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

Listening to Fortresse right now, not bad at all. Kind of ambient black metal but with enough melody to keep listenable. Not bad at all. It`s been a while since I`ve listened to any black metal, normally i`m into the thrashier side of it.

Intronaut are awesome.

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

Saw Intronaut open for Meshuggah and Animals As Leaders last month. Not a huge fan of the style, but they are very solid live. Didn't make me want to fall asleep, unlike Russian Circles did when I saw them open for BTBAM in back to back shows.

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

BAM!
37 TTs to Zed for fortuitous timing!

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

Prostitute Disfigurement are awesome: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcbWFUaxyTA

A real kick in the face.

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

I like Intronaut's progressive stuff (example being their latest album), they are very awesome.

And about BTBAM, they would be insanely good if they stopped the horrible vocals. Either just become an instrumental band, or just don't do the 'screamo' stuff and get a good vocalist.

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

BAM!
AquaticValkerie get 88 TTs for saying things I have no concept of!

Re: \M/ETAL Thread

Anyone here a fan of Cirith Ungol? They're my all time favourite heavy metal band, kind of like Sabbath mixed with Deep Purple but with epic lyrics and a mad wizard casting spells and invoking demons instead of a singer.

I DIIIG NARGAROTH!!!

I like the swedish guys of Death Wolf, they are amazing.
