Hansel and Gretel is Korean, I believe. It's quite good smile

Re: Asian horror cinema

That's the 2007 one yes, Korean.

Not the 2002 one with Taylor Momsen though. Of course. lol

Man I'm sure I'm gonna enjoy this one a lot.
FINALLY A DAMN CAT plays a big role in a Horror flick.
Had to be koreans to think of this.
And it looks pretty cool from what I've seen.

Re: Asian horror cinema

Cats are awesome.

Re: Asian horror cinema

Yes I know it's Japanese but check out Tokyo Zombie.

Re: Asian horror cinema

^^^ An odd duck, that movie.  Bought the DVD sight-unseen and quickly find myself saying aloud, "Huh???" lol

It's entertaining, I admit.  But also peculiar.

Well Japan is in Asia right??? So... lol
But thanks, I sure will that Zombald looks crazy. Hehe

Re: Asian horror cinema

Never heard of Tokyo Zombie, but if it's at all like Tokyo Gore Police I'll probably pass. Entertaining on first viewing hardly afterwards.

Re: Asian horror cinema

It's worth at least one watch,a Japanese horror comedy.
Youtube it.

Been like a million times I watch it and still find it amazing, top notch even. Hey yeah, I know, we're all different. smile

Anyone as got any propositions of Japanese Horror to make to me???
Been wanting to see something I haven't seen and that is in the vein of Noroi: The Curse or The Cat... So what dya got for me???

Re: Asian horror cinema

Just watched a flick from Indonesia last night called Modus Anomali, which was pretty good.

Re: Asian horror cinema

It is Japanese, but I watched an interesting flick called Guilty of Romance (2011) last night.  It is by the same writer/director who did Cold Fish and Suicide Club.

Re: Asian horror cinema

I'd heard of it before, but have yet to see it. I think they had it on Netflix...

Re: Asian horror cinema

It's totally kick ass.

BTW thanks Udo for reminding me of it. Gonna rewatch it soon.

Re: Asian horror cinema

I'm not quite sure if anyone has written this yet but there is a movie (Thai) called "Body 9"
pretty decent in my opinion and the ghost is good too.
"Black Rat" also but I believe that is Japanese....
If you like Chinese a good one is "The Childs Eye" featuring Rainie Yang (Chinese singer). Not too scary but it was a good movie.
"Don't Click", Korean.
"Death Bell", Korean
"Karak", Thai (but not so scary)
"Loner", I believe it's Korean
"POV: A Cursed Film", but I think that was Japanese
"Wishing Stairs", Korean
"White: The Cursed Melody", Korean
"Alone", Thai
"4th Period", Korean (more of a slasher though)
"Coming Soon", Thai
"Cinderella", Korean

I have more but I'm going to stop because I'm not certain if anyone had already posted these titles. If so I'm sorry!
If not I hope I helped smile
