Topic: Check out Ragnbone Productions!

We are RagNBone Productions from Youngstown, Ohio.  Our crew has a combined 30 years of television production and over 20 years of local film making.

Our first feature film soon to be released is House on the Wrong Side of the Tracks.

In May, we begin production in Parkersburg West Virginia of a remake and a re-imagining of the classic Bela Lugosi film White Zombie.

In August we begin shooting found footage film The Massacre at Skullfork Hill, to be shot in Marietta, Ohio.

We are also working on a documentary about local band Tara's Fire, called The Death March.
So there's a lot in the works for us in the coming year.  Please help us out.

here's our website, trailer, videos, information, and promotional campaign:

Bad style, right here.
I won't do my normal thing, though.

Nice monkey...

Re: Check out Ragnbone Productions!

well, check out this trailer for a movie we worked on last summer.

It's a sequel to Dead Life the first movie by Schottenfilmworks of Youngstown, Ohio, a movie we shot 10 years ago.

We shot that movie on old super 8 film cameras and it had a grainy look.

Here's the sequel, quite an improvement from our first outing.....

Re: Check out Ragnbone Productions!

Normally I'd slap you around a bit for pimping a project without introducing yourself and letting us get to know you first -- but I'm letting it slide because Youngstown's a cool little town (or at least it was the last time I was there some 25 years ago).

It would behoove you to make yourself known on the boards.  If all you plan on doing is posting your projects, we consider that spam -- and you won't like what happens to stuff we consider spam. wink

Re: Check out Ragnbone Productions!

WTF? Haha.........guess he doesn't know how to read?
Are we even here....? *my voice echos in space*.....

Re: Check out Ragnbone Productions!

Sorry man, cut me some slack, I just joined like a few hours ago.                                                                                                                                                      You should come back to Youngstown sometime, they tore out federal plaza and built up Federal Street pretty nicely,  YSU expanding, but that's about it.  The rest of the city's like a post apocalyptic nightmare, a cool place to make post apocalyptic movies!   But on the plus side, the place is ready to explode with a huge shale boom and a racino in the works!!

Re: Check out Ragnbone Productions!

What?  You people don't dig trailers?  I just watched a couple other people posted....oh well.

These sound interesting, especially the FF movie.  I will check out a trailer if you have one.

Just realize, people come in here all the time and on the first post pimp there things...then disappear.  Their post usually disappears too.  Helps you stuck around for a few posts to defend yourself.  Stick around here, if for no other reason you will not find more knowledgeable horror fans anywhere with strong opinions to run things off of.

Welcome.  smile

Re: Check out Ragnbone Productions!

Those people also for the most part took the time to introduce themselves and let us get to know them a bit.  That's all we ask.  This is a community of genre loyalists, not free advertising space, and we don't like being treated as such.

So I once again encourage you to join in some discussions, participate, contribute.  We can be a hugely supportive community, and have been for a number of indie filmmakers, but we are quick to denounce those who treat the site like a billboard.  That's all I'm sayin'. smile

Re: Check out Ragnbone Productions!

Understood.  Thanks guys.

I'm a big horror fan myself or else I wouldn't be here.

Re: Check out Ragnbone Productions!

I'll check the trailers later, but I just wanted to say the idea of a White Zombie remake tickles my fancy. Not enough Haitian zombies these days.

Re: Check out Ragnbone Productions!

Headin' down to Marietta/Parkersburg WVA this friday to begin work on the re-make of White Zombie.  Let everyone know how it went when i get back, plus will hopefully post some pics.

Re: Check out Ragnbone Productions!

Just got back from spending an exhausting 2 wks in Marietta Ohio and Parkersburg WVA filming the re-imagining of White Zombie (not to be confused with the Creep Creeperson version), got the entire film done except 1 line of dialogue due to a torrential downpour at the end of one night's shoot.
We shot on location mostly all night in the Anchorage in Marietta.  Met some excellent people, including fantastic set designers Rush Whitacre and Butch Hoover ( http://rushwhitacre.yolasite.com/ ) and worked with  Black Crimson Effects Studio who were likewise outstanding in every way possible during the shoot.
To give you guys a look and idea of what our film is about, here's a link to the Black Crimson site featuring some of the characters and make up effects used in the film.

I forgot about this thread. I just checked the pics on the facebook page. Cool stuff. Still expecting to make a trailer?

Re: Check out Ragnbone Productions!

Thanks...

Yes we are working on a trailer.  It's done.  All we need is to add some music so once the scoring is done I'll post it.

We are also going to release our first film "House on the Wrong Side of the Tracks" on Amazon very soon.....

Here's the trailer for that:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_KpnvY1548\

and a music video which accompanies the movie:
