I kinda feel like Thrash doesn't have anything new to offer anymore
Same way I feel about melodic death metal. Those two styles are totally played out to my ears. I keep it old school with both. And actually, as far as melo-death is concerned, the only band in that genre I've ever been able to fully appreciate is At the Gates. Strange because I actually prefer melody in my metal. But then again, I find melo-death is one of the worst genres for band-waggoners. It's thick with them. I got tired of wading through In Flames-wannabe after In Flames-wannabe, and I never liked them to begin with. And they're still all just copying each other, putting out the same stuff, doing the same style vocals, following the same formula.
They are at least technically proficient, so I can give kudos there.
I have a rule that I follow when it comes to my metal, something that occured to me years ago when Myspace was a thing: I was on a metal forum, and one member posted a vid for some band that he excitedly proclaimed to sound just like Iron Maiden. He was really happy about it.
But it hit me. If I want to hear Iron Maiden, I'll listen to Iron Maiden.
Know what I mean? That's kind of why I'm all over the place with metal. I don't want to hear similar things.
Anyway I'll just end that little rant here.
Oh, kXnPunk, that wasn't necessarily a judgement of the band you posted. They sounded alright. Just got me to thinking a bit.
