Topic: Exhumed- the movie

I thought it may be nice to have a thread for "Exhumed", as it will be going into distribution in the not to distant future. And the other movie thread I have is really about "Normal", which goes into production on May 1, 2013.

I'm assuming, but don't know for sure, that DVD's will become available once it hits distribution, and there are rumblings of European interest. That would be cool.

Exhumed has been in several festivals and has fared well. In the Buffalo Screams Horror Film Festival (NY) it won in several categories including Best Feature, Best Director, Best Cinematography and Best Ensemble Cast. In the Rhode Island International Horror Film Festival it won 1st Place Feature Film. And at the Pollygrind Underground Film Festival in Las Vegas it won Best Actress (Debbie Rochon). Apparently Debbie liked the film so much that she has had the title tattoed on her body (She just posted this on FB today)!

As things progress with the release of this film, I'll update this thread.

Re: Exhumed- the movie

A tattoo is the best endorsement one could hope for!! Haha wow! Also the shots look great - Michael Thurber has a great face.  I approve of it smile Best of luck with it all!

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Before I filmed Debbie in this very spot, I had to test it out myself. No wonder those girls in the window look so scared! Yeah, Michael Thurber has a great face. He's an excellent actor!

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Wow, a tattoo. I guess you don't have to ask her if she liked playing in it.
And these shots are fantasticly phenomenal.
Can't wait to grab the DVD and see it.

That shot with the checkered floor is freaking too beautiful. So are the other ones but this is my favorite.

Keep it up man!!!

Re: Exhumed- the movie

This just in from the director, Richard Griffin:

The newest issue of HorrorHound magazine gives Exhumed an amazing review!

Here's a snippet: "Quirky performances, a unique script (Thanks to Guy Benoit) and macabre atmosphere gives Exhumed a great "late night horror movie quality."

Anyone here on HM get this publication?

Re: Exhumed- the movie

That is very cool. Great article too.
Wild Eye seems like a nice company.
Gotta check the films they have absolutely.

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Yeah, it seems that Wild Eye is repping some pretty cool films. It's great that SFR ( Scorpio Film Releasing) is getting their films distributed by them. I'm just excited that Exhumed is getting a little press. It can't hurt! We start filming on "Normal" in less than a month.

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Sweet. Good luck with this other one too. smile

Re: Exhumed- the movie

This is a review of "Exhumed" that appeared just after its premier last May. A nice compliment to my cinematography and lighting is this line, "Exhumed is one of the most beautiful indie films to just sit back and soak in for the visual eye candy".
I'm excited that the official release by Wild Eye is coming up in June and the film will be available on DVD and streaming.
Here's the whole review that appeared in Bloody Good Horror:
