Re: The Science-y Stuff Thread

^^
I like it when you bring the knowledge- I've been too busy to keep up recently.  big_smile

Re: The Science-y Stuff Thread

Too much monkey science projects and experiments huh???
That's good stuff even if it keeps you busy. lol

Re: The Science-y Stuff Thread

A few years back they asked us the public to fill out a form with out names to be burned on a CD that was sent to Mars. Still have the PFF certificate with my name on and everything.

Now it's time for more and we can even add a message. Of course now it's a DVD, more space.

So I wrote:No air no water don't matter.
The evolution of this red planet will go on.
In time we will meet Rovers and readers.

Had no idea about writing Haikus which is what the contest is about. Well I tried.

lol

Your turn...

Curiosity just rules!!! He's the best EVER.
And on Twitter he's very funny.

Re: The Science-y Stuff Thread

I truly hope Curiosity comes home, I would love to see all the samples and stuff.

Re: The Science-y Stuff Thread

I don't think he ever will. Opportunity's been there since 2003 and Spirit too. But some drones are sent to grab the samples I guess.

Re: The Science-y Stuff Thread

Well he's supposed to return I think in the 2020's or late teens, it's listed somewhere.  I don't have hope of it coming back and thankfully for the use of digital cameras and all, it's not all lost.

Re: The Science-y Stuff Thread

Oh I wasn't aware of that.
But yes, the technology used this time is far better than his previous brothers. Dude's cam is insanely cool.

I was worried a few weeks ago when his main computer freaked out but the guys on the team [the cool mohawk guy included] fixed it perfectly. Lucky he had a second one that took over while they were fixing it though.

Re: The Science-y Stuff Thread

There is some tv show in europe in the making right now that is sending a few people on a one way trip to Mars.

Re: The Science-y Stuff Thread

Yeah saw that.
They were also talking of building an elevator to Mother Moon. How damn crazy is that??? But I'd be the first in line if it ever happen you can be sure. The Moon and Venus are my favorite planets. Not a planet you say??? Well to me she is. Just like Pluto is still one for me. lol

Re: The Science-y Stuff Thread

I never wanna leave Earth.  No one can hear you scream in space

Re: The Science-y Stuff Thread

Why scream???
I truely wanna leave as soon as possible.
My spaceship I build in my closet will be ready one day and off I'll be.

Just another reason to love Canada!

"Oh Canada, how we love our moose.
Oh Canada, we are a silly goose.
Oh Canada, land of bears and trees.
Oh Canada, how we do love to freeze."
