Re: Frankenstein's Army.

Yeah, I have been looking forward to this one too.  There is another one, similar plot,  coming out soon called War of the Dead, fka Stone's War, that looks interesting as well.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

Just based on the pics. they've been releasing on FB I can't wait.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

i aint heard much more other than what info we got here about frankenstiens army, i seen trailers and clips of it, looks great !!<<, a movie which i heard about  is the 4th Riech , which has got sean pertwee from dog soldiers, in it funnily enough he plays a soldier in this along with sean Bean , now thats gotta be worth a watch , heres some info!!!!

Okay, now he’s just taking the mickey. Legendarily doomed actor Sean Bean, who is famous for coming a cropper in just about every film (or TV show) he appears in, has signed on to lead the ensemble cast of action horror thriller The 4th Reich.

Bean will be a sergeant major in the tale of a brigade of British soldiers in World War II who are dispatched to occupied mainland Europe to fight the good fight behind enemy lines. But what they find there is a terrifying new force cooked up by Nazi scientists, who have been working on an improved army to realise their dream of a fourth Reich. Because nothing says "easy to survive" like battling experimental Nazi super-soldiers.

The cast also includes Sean Pertwee (he’s contractually obliged to be in a movie like this at least once a year), Craig Conway and SFX-expert / occasional actor Tom Savini.

Shaun Robert Smith, who cut his teeth directing other horror movies and perfecting prosthetics makeup, is going to be both behind and in front of the camera. And if this story of soldiers finding something nasty in the middle of a war sounds vaguely familiar, you may not be shocked to learn that Deathwatch writer-director Michael J Bassett is listed among the executive producers. Shooting – of both the camera and bullet kind – is scheduled for this summer.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

After seeing these concept sketches I'm even more stoked to see this movie.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

Oh yeah, the movie looks cool.  Hope it's as good as those drawings, man.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

I just thought, part of the plot could have been taken from the old Japanese movie Frankenstein Conquers The World.    You know, where the Nazis steal Frankenstein's heart for whatever reason, only this thing goes off on a crazy tangent.

One thing: hope it's better than SS Doomtrooper, some of which was filmed in Youngstown, Ohio on the same site as Schottenfilmworks Silvercell.  SS Doomtrooper was one of the worst movies I've ever had the misfortune of sitting through.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

I'll be honest I liked SS Doomtrooper but then I've always loved cheesy movies.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

Now I'm not so sure SS Doomtrooper was filmed in Y-Town.  Checked IMDB and it says Bulgaria.

Did some research, the movie that was filmed partly in Y-Town was actually called "Horrors of War."

in the article I posted, it references Oz, the dude who at one time was in charge of bringing film companies to Youngstown.    Unfortunately, if you were a film maker FROM Youngstown, he wasn't too fond of you.

And in the article, the creators of Horrors of War accuse the makers of SS Doomtroopers of ripping them off....lol...

enjoy.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

Ouch, Doomtrooper was one SyFy movie that made my head hurt.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

Thanks................

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

Damn,if the rest of the movie is half as good as the red band trailer it's going to be killer.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

It's going to have limited showing either on or starting on the 26th of this month as well as a VOD release,so far they haven't,to my knowledge, released the city listing for theaters.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

Cool...just checked and I can get it to rent on Amazon Prime for seven bucks.  Will have to consider that soon.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

Not a bad movie, worth at least one watch.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

Is it worth seven bucks?  smile

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

Definitely.

Re: Frankenstein's Army.

I thought it was ok, but was did not think it was worth seven bucks when it will prob be available for less somewhat soon.  The "monsters" were cool and that was about it.
