Huh, didn't know that. Love Dark Corners too.

I also am a fan of the ending of the Mist. I've never read the King story, does it have the same ending?

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

just got out the theatre....saw the conjuring....i dont spend 10 bucks on seeing a movie i might not like...especially horror....seeing so many big budget horror films suck these days.....but i was impressed....i like james waans take on horror....he really pays tribute to the good ol days....i liked saw 1...didnt bother with the others.....and i liked Insidious very much....seeing its been a while since i've seen a hollywood horror with a good monster in it....red faced demon really burned his way into my mind...especially the scene where he's tinkering in his little toy shop listening to tiny tim...that scene was BEAUTIFUL....genuinely creepy....anyways, back to the conjuring....it had witches, possession, satan worship, paranormal activity....great acting...and a true story to back it up....i loved it....i cant wait for Insidious 2....i really hope mr red face is in it again....

WOLFEN [1981]

Woah man, can't believe I hadn't seen this marvel before. Great acting and badass visuals. I especially liked the view from the wlolves. Nice effect. And the head of the guy in the car that falls after the wolf ripped it off was cool. Pretty gory and a very nice story. One to watch definitely. big_smile

what Suspiria Said, Detention of the Dead 2012,

it wasn't as angsty as i thought it would be, dude, clarinet zombie kill, i'm getting even closer to being able to say i've seen everything, though i'm not entirely sure how i feel about the newer trend of the joyous genre ending of the zombie threat has been contained or cured

The Collection (On Netflix):  Started watching this movie late last night, at about 11:30ish. Wasn't expecting a whole lot, being that I'm not a big fan of slasher films.

You don't have to wait long for the blood to flow  About 10 min into the film, I was I was wide awake.  This film offers some pretty brutal, creative, and bloody carnage kill scenes.

6.5/10

Tales fromt he Crypt: Demon Knight

Felt like a 90s episode of Supernatural. Fun, but nothing more.

The Haunting of Sarah Hardy (1989)

It sound like really good ghost with that title, this movie it not even close to A Ghost story at all.

Them movies start Sarah at her Dad funeral and mother at the wake think Sarah wished it was her, so she killed her self by drowning.

Few years later she moves in with her New Husband back into the house but she start losing the plot.

No really spook or any kind atmosphere scene at all and it takes a while to get really in the movies, I which found some part dragged and bored me to death,

The twist and turns in this movie were so Predicable that it was Ridicules, just like the script.

I don't get me started on atrocious ending of this dreadful movie,

There only one good think I can say about this movie, that some of Acting was decent but some of it was really bland

2 out of 10

METAL SHIFTERS [Iron Invader] [2011]

Pretty freaking cool one. Satellite crashes and a virus infects metal which makes it create a badass bot that kill. Pretty cool Robot really and Catherine De Boer is great. Pretty nice one. Well to me it is.

demon knight was rad....but yeah...it was fun....not scary....billy zanes the shit in it....puts his fist through the cops head.....awesome....

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

Sin Reaper - a average at best slasher that brings nothing to the table except two decent kill scenes. Not even worth watching for hardcore slasher fans such as myself. 4/10

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

If you want scary, count how many times the phrase "What the fuck?" is spoken in Grave Encounters.

Horrifying.

oh yes...fuck is thrown around very much....but i like so far....

finished it....got repetitive...a few cool scenes though for sure....the altar at the end was cool....liked how they didnt use the usual inverted pentagram...and how the grimoire was written in rune.....something a bit original....but the scariest of all was my sleeping girlfriend busting ass the whole time....they say you smell rancid stenches when demons are present....well theres a demon in her ass....

The evil (1978)

Ok with a nice atmosphere.

Masters of Horror: Pro Life

Interesting tale with many problems. Ron Perlman isn't one of them.

The Possessed 1977
I can't even remember that movie anymore. And it was the last one I watched last night. Harrison Ford was in it. Fire everywhere. And someone was possessed. Why?

Call me a part pooper but I loved the ending to this film. It was so horribly and tragically realistic. A disney film this aint. Reminded me of Eden Lake (2005) in its bleak but realistic ending.

I don't know that the ending is "realistic" per se, but its pretty freakin' awesome.

SCALENE [2011]

Man what a brilliant one that is. Margo Martindale is just fantastic. And what a freaking wild story really. I'm totally amazed by this marvel. One to see.

No, the story just sort of peters out;  they leave the grocery store, learn new skills that help them survive within the mist, and still haven't found any way out of it (and have given up hoping they ever will).

King himself admits the cinematic ending is far superior.

Did you know that in the mid-1980s, "The Mist" was actually a video game?  And I am one of the people who bought it.

Are you sure of that because there was one called Myst too. But it came later I think.

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

The Mist was cool....really was....but i couldnt get past the thought of thinking vikings were gonna jump out of "the fog" and murder everyone....
