Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

Yes, he's an amazing one. Quebecker dude, saw him once a while back. He masters the guitar very well.

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

My 2 bitches, Toro [yeah that's REALLY the name of the company that built it] lol spanish old bass at left and Crass, chinese recent babe at right. Truely prefer Crass now but Toro served her time. Only thing is that the shaft is twisted like an arc which leaves a 1 cm gap in the high notes. Ouch my fingers. Hahaha

I freaking LOOOVE my new girl though, if she was a real girl I'd fuck her repeatedly, she's got a gorgeous body. HAHAHAHAHAHA

Sexy Basses...if I ever figure out how to post pics on this byatch, I'd post my stable

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

Start a photobucket account (or imageshack, or flickr, or some other photo hosting site).  Upload the photo.  Copy the link for the image.  Past it here with an image tag, which looks like this:

Done. smile

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

I suggest Pinterest.com instead of these crappy others. Much better.
But LoudLon is still right. big_smile

Man she's freaking BADASSLY GORGEOUS.
Like the real one. big_smile

Love the stripes and nice touch the diagonal cut at the bottom of the shaft...

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

Thanks Buddy...this is the guitar I use for my more vintage-style tones.  There's a varitone switch and a coil tap..so I can do everything from Hendrix-Stevie Ray style solos to Super Bassy modern black keys stuff...Doesn't do heavy all that well...but I have other axes for that. wink

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

Varitone switches are insanely nice. Wish my bass had that.
Malphas The Crow, my buddy has one. Lucky bastard.

Although I use mostly high thing,
I like to hear the pick slam the string a lot.
Yeah, I like most noises that come out of it... lol

This one, I traded a Strat for, straight up.  I Named her Lizzie after Elisabeth Báthory. love the colour.

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

Very well done, much better than a Strat!!!

Cool colour, AWESOME NAME!!! big_smile

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

Yeah...she's a beast...super sleek neck and low action...but because of that..I don't use her for low tunings.  Half-step down...she gets a good growl.

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

She's very belle en tabarnak!!! big_smile

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

If anyone's interested, I stumbled across this bass tab site a couple weeks back, then joined up about a week ago.  I've submitted five or six tabs so far, myself. big_smile

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

Never understood any of these tabs but that IS VERY COOL!!!

Dinosaur Jr — Feel the Pain bass tabs

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

That one took me hours to do. lol

As for tab, it's actually really simple.  Each line represents a string (imagine you're looking down at your bass as it's sitting face-up on your lap; your bass's fourth [top] string is the bottom line on the tab) and each number represents the fret you play that string on.  So if you see a 3 on the bottom line, it means you're playing the third fret on your top bass string.  Gets really easy once you get the hang of it. smile

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

Yep, thanks for clearing it out but you know what's easier to me??? Listening to it and play it. I happen to have a very good, excellent even ear.

All this reading and writing of music, too far away for me to care about really. My earing does the job much better than anything else. Hahaha big_smile

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

I'd say 95% of the stuff I know how to play, I've learned by ear.  I only turn to tabs when I can't figure something out.  But I enjoy writing tabs for other folks.  Not everyone out there can play by ear like we two magnificent sons o' bitches. big_smile

Re: The HM Musicians' Thread

^^^
MWAHAHAHA
But true, I keep forgetting the "other ones" and don't care much about them. But glad some work out for them these tabs.

Eh, you know me, Punk.  I'm a purist.  And that just sounded like so much noise to me.  She has ability, that much is obvious, but leave my Nirvana alone! lol

I have opened so freaking much since my Hardcore Punk/Metal and some very selective Pop only back then. H3LL I even like Country now can you imagine??? Hahaha

Music for me is pretty simple, I like or I don't. There's the Bieber, Céline Dion, Dio, LMFAO, Simple Plan, Megadeath side which is obviously the bad one and then there's the Crass, Misfits, Black Flag, Madonna, Billie Holiday, Katy Perry, Distillers, Venom, Behemoth, Kittie one which is the good one of course.

But yeah I understand how you feel. The same shit happened to me when I first heard Megadeath [which I've always hated] doing Anarchy In The Uk from MY PISTOLS!!!

Leave my Sex Pistols alone. lol

But that chick is part of the Crass and Kittie family.
For me that is...
