Re: "The Truck" an indie road horror

Hey Acey, just wondering if you'll surprise us on Saturday with some Truck promo stuff before/after we do Gun Town?

Re: "The Truck" an indie road horror

oooooohhhh.......I guess I could try and do something.

in the meantime, check out this scale model I will be assembling to a scale model of a scene in the movie. It will include a DVD and VHS copy.

Re: "The Truck" an indie road horror

WOOOHOOO!!! That'll look cool.
You should try to do an exact scene of the film with road, sand and all. That'd ROCK!!! And Roll.
Or maybe that's what you'll do what do I know, not in your head. Yet.  lol

But Monogram??? Damn man, REVELL owns all. Hahaha

Have fun, been raised doing these and still do some now. LOTTA FUN!!!

yeah, that's the idea...a scene from the film. Monogram is the only one I could find. Those things are rare.

You should move here, we have ALL KINDS, H3LL even found a 60 Dodge Polara that I reserved!!! The most EVIL looking car ever made... lol

Re: "The Truck" an indie road horror

I scoured the internet for a scale model of a ford fairlane 1970 but no luck. i really need a 1/24th scale of it!

Re: "The Truck" an indie road horror

Only one I've found is damn expensive. Must be a Die-Cast cause it's 140$.

http://www.dearbornclassics.com/1970-fo … scale.html

And surprising but neither Monogram or Revell have one. O_O

that is completely mislabeled. that is NOT a 1970 ford fairlane, its a 50's model, lol

Re: "The Truck" an indie road horror

Looking forward to seeing this film!

Re: "The Truck" an indie road horror

I scoured the 'net last night myself, Lee, but couldn't find it either.

I tried. hmm

Re: "The Truck" an indie road horror

thanks get, we're excited.

thanks Loud, I guess they never made them.

If Revell or Monogram don't have them, well they don't exist.

And yeah was misslabeled indeed, looked and it isn't the same at all. lol
I wouldn't buy from this place if they can't even get the correct name.

That's yours right???

My thoughts exactly...

Re: "The Truck" an indie road horror

I'm a fan of the less is more approach so I'm digging the DVD cover art, especially the front.  The movie's about a truck so it only makes sense the truck should be prominent on the cover.   Maybe clean up the font a bit, though; it works fine on the over-sized title but the smaller size stuff, the font makes it difficult to read.

The poster's an interesting alternative, but I again have to comment on the font.  I don't think the cast is going to appreciate their names being barely legible. lol

And out of curiosity, on the front DVD cover, should that question mark after "Driven by pure evil" be an exclamation point?  I know the phrase is used in the form of a question on the back cover, but by itself there on the front, I think it would come off better with an exclamation point.

Other than that, I dig the orange/yellow/black color scheme, the lay-out of the stills, and the orange treadmarks are a nice touch.

My two cents.  Take 'em for what they're worth. smile

Re: "The Truck" an indie road horror

Very interesting dear Badass Sir.
aceofspades told me he liked trashed fonts so that's why I used this one. It reads better at full size though. But that's also why I used a plain Verdana for the back cover, smaller so.

And yeah interesting thoughts about the interrogation/exclamationpoint.

Thank you LoudLordLon. big_smile

Re: "The Truck" an indie road horror

no explanation points!

we'll work it out soon......

Re: "The Truck" an indie road horror

Damn man, the longest thing in Photoshop isn't movimg graphics elements around or using the tools but FREAKING SAVING!!!

Takes a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong while and I save often. lol

Too bad my old Mac doesn't support HUGE 300 DPI files because it takes much less time. Ah well, still going good. If it wasn't for this damn cursor locking up every 3 minutes for 30 seconds, I'd be finished. roll

No idea what causes that. Not a Virus, got a great Anti-Virus. Ah well what can I do anyways. Patience which I have A LOT!!! big_smile
