How was it? Wanted to watch it a while ago, but abandoned the idea after hearing it's kind of silly.

It's VERY FAR from silly... In fact it's a freaking masterpiece. I like Lady Vengeance better but it still rocks like H3LL. big_smile

It may have some silly parts, but I'd say it felt perhaps more serious or depressing than Oldboy.

Beastly starting now a film I DIG like a fool, of course, my sexy gorgeously sublime and hot Vanessa Hudgens is in. Next I'll boot up Burial Ground, Galxina and Cleopatra's Daughter. Should be a fun night. big_smile

I watched Lady Vengeance instead. Surprisingly, I wasn't crazy about it. The fragmented story took the oomph out of it for me.

The Departed (2006) tonight.

I'll do like I never read this.

Lady Vengeance is one of my all times best films ever.

Re: What are YOU watching tonite/this weekend?

Just as I do with that certain movie about exorcisms. tongue

I still enjoyed Lady Vengeance, it just didn't blow me away like some of Chan-wook Park's other films.

Don't forget about Creepshow! jk but if you are into the anthology thing you should check out like every episode of Tales From the Crypt.  A bit campy obviously but there is something about that show that just kicks ass.  Especially season one with direction from guys like Walter Hill and Richard Donner.  Zemeckis as well.   Gets no better.  I am a pretty big fan of the Twilight Zone movie.  Speilberg, Dante, and Landis directing is just awesome.

Speaking of anthology films, does nobody remember the low budget 1980 version of HOUSE OF THE DEAD?
