Topic: calling all horror readers

Since a fire destroyed the restaurant I work at and the reconstruction won't be done until Jan. sometime, I find I have more time for reading. I can't buy so I Library it.
Since this happened in Feb. I have pretty much sucked the libraries dry in my state.
(Sometimes I can read a book a day, and have as many 5/6 in progress).
So if you all have recommendations I would really appreciate it very much.
There must be some thing I have missed.
Been there done that:
Stephen King
Clive Barker
Dean Koontz
John Saul
Anne Rice
Robert McCammon
Bentley Little
Ramsey Campbell
These are some of the writers off the top of my head.

Re: calling all horror readers

I like Brian Keene's books. All the rest of the books I read you already have the authors. I hope this helps.

Re: calling all horror readers

HIGHLY recommend "The Girl Next Door" by Ketchum.  Also, I just read "Book of the Dead" and "Wheel of Darkness" by... uh... can't remember.  I'd check on Amazon, but my connection is terrible.  Also, try some Chuck Palahniuk, eg. "Fight Club," "Haunted."

Re: calling all horror readers

I love the horror novels by Bentley Little the best so get some of his books like:

The Return
The Town
Death Instinct
The Revelation

These books are all great reads by him.

I'm gonna buy a another book this weekend of his.

Brian Keene!!!! tongue
try graphic novels, they have those at the library, start with Preacher. wink

Re: calling all horror readers

It's not really horror but I suggest giving Neil Gaiman a try.

Re: calling all horror readers

Evilution by Shaun Jeffrey is a great read too. It's sorta like a mixture of the films The Fog, Outbreak, and 28 Days Later mixed into 1 novel.

Re: calling all horror readers

The Preacher kicks ass.  Probably my favorite comic book series ever.
