Re: Exhumed- the movie

A great review of EXHUMED just came out...  From the review, "When the camera moved it was fluid and smooth, there were many still shots that were brilliant in its execution, and the lighting in many of the scenes in combination with the black and white was amazing.  In short, all of those aspects combined was nothing but pure art".

We filmed in 2011, it was released in 2012 and two years later it's still getting reviews!

And not just any review but a very good one. big_smile

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Another new review of EXHUMED. From the review... "The gorgeous black and white cinematography accentuates the dark abode."
Nice.

Re: Exhumed- the movie

I noticed Exhumed in there too! I was going to post it on here if nobody got around to it.
Eigh8t's videos are usually pretty funny.

Is Exhumed available on blu-ray? I only came across the dvd on amazon.

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Good question and I don't know! I'll ask Richard (the director).

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Can"t wait to see that but it'll take freaking long to have it in my DVD store or I might just grab a pre-paid credit card next month. Gotta grab Lord Of Tears too...

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Sadly Exhumed is not available on blu-ray. Still, it holds up very well as I filmed it in 4K and the master was finished in beautiful HD!

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Aw damn! Thanks for getting back, dvd it will be.

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Exhumed has been accepted as an official selection at the Horror on Sea Film Festival in Essex UK!
The film makes its UK film festival debut, and received its laurels today.

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Very cool  Great job!!

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Nice! Congrats!

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Thanks brothers (and sisters)! This film still has life even though it was black and white and is a few years old now. It has won a few indie film fest awards stateside, including a "best cinematography" which I'm proud of! Thanks for supporting indie film!

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Just ordered myself a copy on DVD. Can't wait to finally check it out.

Re: Exhumed- the movie

You're very kind Theli. I hope you enjoy it. Another review came out yesterday. Here's a quote from it..."it’s very well shot with an intriguing storyline that keeps you guessing right up to the perfect last shot. Yes, the last frame of the film is absolutely beautiful and will haunt my mind until I die. ". You can see the whole review here: http://popshifter.com/2014-10-17/dvd-re … d-exhumed/

BTW, I just noticed your avatar... last night I went to see Nosferatu in an old theater with an original Wurlitzer Pipe Organ. The film was shown with the original score played live. It was very cool.

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Oh man, I am so jealous. You don't even know how jealous. My all time favourite, I'd kill to see it in theatres, especially with live music, like it was done originally. Was it the full 90 minute version with colour tints?

Re: Exhumed- the movie

Yes it was, and a really nice print as well. They did an intermission between acts 2 and 3. Pretty cool fimmaking for 1922 that probably scared the pants off people at the time with some very forward thinking effects. Because we know the story so well now, some of it can seem actually amusing, like the line, "you're wife has a beautiful neck"! Nonetheless, an excellent event overall.
