Decent flick. Solid performances. Starring Lauen Tewes of Love Boat fame. Though a bit far-fetched at the end in regards to Jennifer Jason Leigh's blind character. The guy who plays the killer, John DiSanti, would go on to appear in a number of films, including The Relic (the last film he's made to date, as far as I know).
Interestingly, the flick initially had no graphic kills. The filmmakers were already into production when they saw Savini's FX in Maniac and hired him to spice up their movie. Good call on their part, though Savini (by his own admission) basically did nothing more than recycle gags he'd already used numerous times before in other slasher flicks. The boyfriend's head in the fish tank was a clever little trick, though.
