Cobain: Montage of Heck (2015), a new and powerfully moving doc chronicling the life of Kurt Cobain, from childhood, through his rise to Rock God, and the unfortunate set of circumstances leading up to his suicide. Co-produced by Cobain's daughter, the filmmakers were given unrestricted access to Cobain's home recordings, home movies, music, etc.
A refreshing change of pace from most rock docs, there's no subjective worshiping of Cobain by the filmmakers, no biased slants (everyone interviewed is direct and honest in their responses) and the whole thing is put together and laid out for you completely free of judgment or favor. As such this is a must-see for Nirvana fans, and I highly recommend to rock doc fans in general. 10/10
