Topic: Big Animal Monster Movies

If there is one sub-genre in horror I have the softest spot for is the big animal monster movies.  Watching movies like THEM! and Tarantula on AMC when I was little I still love them even to this day.  Its something that imo we need more of.  So, what is your fav giant animal monster movie?

I love them!!!! Valley of the Gwangi is my all time fave
I like the Harryhausen movies..sinbad, Jason and the Arganauts
oh yeah!!! I feel a creature film night coming on..lol

Monster Movies, my favorite!

Godzilla is by far the best monster ever along with the following:
Jaws
Jurassic Park-1 and 3 (didn't care for 2, too much politics, I hear they are working on a 4)
Rodan
Planet of the Dinosaurs

here the plot of the movie
A small town gradually becomes aware of a strange creature which picks off people one by one. But what is this creature, and where is it? At the same time, a seismologist is working in the area, she detects _tremors_. The creature lives underground, and can 'pop up' without warning. Trapped in their town, the town-folk have no escape

it one of the best funny/horror movie ever,
i love this movie when I was 5 and 15 years later, i still love it

Tremors was a good film Bassi, I bet you like Eight Legged Freaks, that was pretty good too.

Wasn't that the giant rat movie where people were trapped in a cabin fighting off a horde of giant mutant rats. If I remember right the FX were kind of cheesy but it was a pretty good flick.

The Blob and it's subsequent Chuck Russel remake are always fun.  Avoid the Larry Hagman-directed sequel "Beware! The Blob!" like the plague, though.
