Detective Raymond Pope is a hard-boiled man of questionable morals, in search of his missing wife. His investigation leads him to the wealthy estate of the enigmatic Elizabeth Kane and her young maid, Irina, a couple the devil himself would avoid.

Beneath Elizabeth's fascinating looks and aristocratic manner, lies a terrifying killer, who lures, seduces and murders innocent women to bathe in their blood, believing that such a gruesome ritual will preserve her own youth forever.

Her companion, the seemingly sweet and angelic Irina, is a savage predator in her own right, living under the illusion that her mistress is a supernatural being, who, one day, will grant her the gift of eternal life.

As Pope finds himself perversely drawn to the powerful Elizabeth, bodies begin to surface. His enquiries only deepen the mystery surrounding her past. His obsession grows so intense that he completely fails to anticipate Elizabeth's reaction to this intrusion into her dark world, a fatal mistake that might cost Pope his life and the life of those close to him.
