Jonathon Levine talks Mandy Lane
Meh
A few months back we told you All the boys love Mandy Lane had its release date bumped. back to May via our pals at AITH & STYD. Mandy Lane is one of those movies that looks truly creepy and has the potential to be a hit with fans of the thrill-killer genre. In a statement provided to us by the studio Jonathon says he was inspired by a terrifying highschool experience. Quote;
High School, for me, was a pretty terrifying experience. It was a unique time—a time drenched in bittersweet nostalgia, yet also a time of fear, insecurity, and incredible feats of meanness.
With "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane", we wanted to make a high school film that captured the dread of that universal experience, one that didn't shy away from the raw emotion of the situations it presented.
I hope we were successful in this endeavor, and that people will watch "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane" and remember how awful it was to be a teenager—and also how desperately they miss those times.
Having watched the trailer which you can checkout below I think their is some serious potential for thrills in this one! Below is a new picture supplied to us for the film also by the studio. The story goes like this; A group of high schoolers invite Mandy Lane (Amber Heard), a good girl who became quite hot over the summer, to a weekend party on a secluded ranch. While the festivities rage on, the number of revelers begins to drop quite mysteriously.
