Sweatshop Cast Announced

I had thought that we had mentioned this film here before. But somehow for some reason we haven't. Well I guess a good primary reason is that we don't really know what the film is going to be about. But the director Stacy Davidson has caught my attention when he told Fango, “It’s the anti-torture porn: a 100 percent balls-out, blood-spraying, skull-crushing, hot, sweaty, sexy, funny and above all fun-as-hell romp. It’s not psychological, it’s not a thriller, it’s not the most disturbing experience of your life and it’s not going after any Oscars. Like all the fun horror movies of the ’80s that got me into this to begin with, SWEATSHOP is just a damn good time.”

That is exactly what I like to hear from a director. What is also really exciting about this film is all the talent surrounding the film. Ted Geoghegan (Barricade) co-wrote the script, Mel House (Closet Space) is co-producing, and the talent keeps on going with several of the Special FX folks coming over from Closet Space. To say the least this is something your not going to want to miss out on.

Today Dread Central got in touch with Stacy Davidson and he sent them over the cast list as well as some handy pics of the entire cast. We can tell you that the cast will consist of Ashley Kay, Naika Malveaux, Krystal Freeman, Brent D. Himes, Danielle Jones, Peyton Wetzel, and Melanie Donihoo. Now filling the role of the villian is none other than convention fiend Jeremy Sumrall who runs the horror merchandise boutique Necrobilia.
