Spiral beats MPAA, Gets Trailer & Release
After a long hard battle with the MPAA over the rating of his film Hatchet, Adam Green can let out a sigh of relief for his new film. Green is co-director with Hatchet co-star Joel David Moore for the upcoming psychological thriller Spiral and it was just given a PG-13 release. News of the rating was announced through ArieScope pictures and is said to be PG-13 for "Disturbing behavior, violence, some partial nudity, and language". Pretty much what you'd expect from a PG-13 psychological thriller.
Spiral is set to hit theaters February 8th in limited release through Anchor Bay, so one can expect a sweet DVD in the future as well. I saw the trailer for Spiral in front of Hatchet in theaters and I thought it looked creepy as hell. You can check out the trailer here, just scroll down to videos.
For more info on Spiral including a photo gallery, on the set videos and some posters can be found at the official Spiral site. The official synopsis from AriScope:
A reclusive artist finds new life in the eyes of his latest subject, but the past that haunts him may come back to haunt her as well Joel David Moore (Hatchet, Dodgeball) Amber Tamblyn(Joan of Arcadia), Zachary Levi (Less than Perfect), and Tricia Helfer(Battlestar Galactica) in this critically acclaimed and award winning Hitchcockian psychodrama
