Gabriel DVD Specs
Today SONY emailed to me the specs for their upcoming title GABRIEL which I am anxiously awaiting. It will hit DVD Feb 19th. In the tradition of mega-hit Underworld, Gabriel showcases the ultimate battle between good and evil, and the fight for the human soul, starring rising talent Andy Whitfield (Australian TV’s “All Saints”) and Samantha Noble (See No Evil). Gabriel DVD special features includes deleted scenes and three “making of” featurettes. At this time we unfortunately do not have the DVD artwork!
There is a struggle between Arc and Fallen angels for control of Purgatory and its population of re-born souls. At present, darkness rules and Gabriel (Whitfield), the last of the seven Arcs sent to return light to the city, must assume human form for the first time. Purgatory’s underworld is dangerous and seedy, and Gabriel must hide his powers in order to survive. In the darkest place of the human soul, this lone arc angel’s battle with his human feelings and emotions will prove as perilous as facing the Fallen angels.
Written by newcomer Matt Hylton Todd and first-time director Shane Abbess, Gabriel stars a hot, young cast including Andy Whitfield (“All Saints”), Samantha Noble (See No Evil), Erika Heynatz (George of the Jungle 2, TV’s “Mermaids”) and Michael Piccirilli (Devil’s Gateway,TV’s “McLeod’s Daughters”).
