Viggo Ready to Play Poe?

Sylvester Stallone has been trying to get his Edgar Allan Poe project off the ground for quite some time now. Well according to Cinema Blend, it looks like he is just about ready to get the show on the road after he finishes Rambo. So that leaves us with the question of who will play Poe?

In the beginning of all this Robert Downey Jr. was at the head of the pack but that was ages ago. The scooper told the site, “Stallone has recently met with Viggo Mortensen and has offered him the role of Edgar Allan Poe in the film. Mortensen is consdiering the role although he wants some slight revisions in the script.”

Since they originally got the scoop they have also learned that if Viggo doesn't take the role their back ups are Clifton Collins Jr. and John Hawkes. I am really looking forward to where this one goes. It looks like this could be an interesting trip.
