April Fools Day DVD Art

Remakes, no matter which way we look at the latest trend in Hollywood, due to the success of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Dawn of the Dead (though they helped revitalize the genre) have condemned us to a long line of for the most part...crappy remakes.  Well, a while ago Goon reported that the remake of April Fools Day ISN'T going into theaters but instead straight to DVD.  The film is helmed by the Butcher Bros., who last directed the After Dark Horrorfest film The Hamiltons.

Youvideoshelf got their hands on the very Photoshop artwork for the film, which you can check out here.  Very basic, photoshop art can't expect more from a direct-to-DVD release.  So far no specs have been announced.  April Fools Day hits shelves on March 25, 2008.

From SONY we have this synopsis:  Each April Fool’s Day, fabulously wealthy young Desiree Cartier (Cole) hosts the most killer coming-out parties at her to-die-for southern mansion. And this social event is never complete without one of her patented pranks. But when this year’s joke turns deadly, Desiree, her brother Blaine (Henderson) and five of their friends all become the targets of a twisted killer who begins hunting them down one by one in this chilling tale of seduction, betrayal and revenge.
