Cloverfield Sequel

First off dont read the comments on this news item! It is bound to be full of spoilers. With Cloverfield now making back its entire budget in just over 1 day of being in theatres the obvious thing will be a sequel. Made for peanuts, and a sure thing to make a ton of money it invites the question, who wants a sequel? On top of that what would make for a good story for the Cloverfield sequel and or prequel.

The key to a sequel is how much money the studio made on the first one. Not whether it makes any sense or not. So considering just how much money this movie is bound to make the studio in comparison to what it COST to make a sequel is very likely. Where should it take place? And how would you do the sequel.. or perhaps prequel. I wouldnt be surprised if the next movie was done for EVEN less and was released online and bypassed theatres completely. Imagine, the first movie to air first on Youtube!
