More SAW 4 Game Updates - HorrorMovies.ca

Morgan dropped us a line with some updates on an earlier article we did on the upcoming Saw 4 Video game. Apparently it will be released in 2009 and will be on the Xbox360 and PS3 platforms but not the wii. Brash Entertainment is currently working on a SAW video game, good news is they have been collaborating with series creators James Wan and Leigh Whannell.

There are no screen shots or official synopsis available yet though what is know this isn't a game version of the movies, but set within the SAW universe and is basically a semi-sequel. The only thing set up right now is a website where you can sign up to get updates here. It could be interesting, though I imagine a lot of the gameplay will be puzzle solving and such. However, since most video game adaptations of movies suck...I'm not really going to be getting all excited about this until I get my hands on a demo or something.

You gotta admire the ever expanding SAW series and franchise. What was originally going to be a straight to DVD release has spawned 4 sequels (counting V as its in prep), toys and now a video game. Sooner or later we'll get graphic novels. I can only imagine the reaction of parents groups to this new attack on the psyche of their children when this hits in October.
