West Heads Into House of the Devil

Ti West seems to be always keeping himself busy. Even though I wasn't too fond of The Roost early word on his other feature Trigger Man is good. He also has another film coming out soon that I'm sure some of you have some interest in, Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever.

Today Dark Sky Films announced that they have partnered with A History of Violence producers Roger Kass and Josh Braun and horror impresario Larry Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix to produce the original horror-thriller The House of the Devil. The first film they helped finance was Plague Town which is still in production.

The House of the Devil tells the tale of a job gone horribly awry when a college girl answers a babysitting ad and gets much more than she expected. The film will be written and directed by Ti West. Hopefully Trigger Man and Cabin Fever 2 will be released by the time this film wraps up. The film is in pre-production now in Connecticut, with casting commencing immediately and production anticipated to start in mid March.

Fessenden said of the project, "I am excited to be working with Ti again, and with this team and a few more resources. Ti’s ability to root his genre films in the rhythms and details of everyday life is what makes them resonant and startling. This one will be a doozy.”
