Carpenter Leaves Fear Itself
Early reports online were pointing to John Carpenter to direct Skin & Bones for NBC's Fear Itself. Today Shock has learned that he has decided not to direct the episode and instead Larry Fessenden will be stepping up to take his place. This will be a huge step up for Fessenden.
He is mainly known for his little roles in horror films such as last years After Dark Horrorfest title Mulberry St. But he also has quite a few films under his directors belt as well including Habit, Wendigo and The Last Winter. This will be his big shot for everyone to see his work.
The episode he will be directing was scripted by Drew McWeeny & Scott Swan. Skin & Bones begins when a cattle herder returns home to his family after being lost in the woods for days, he just doesn't seem the same. Soon, a terrible mortal struggle ensues against the terrifying monster possessing him.
The series kicks off on May 29th on NBC.
