Routh Cast in Dylan Dog Film

Goon

Dylan Dog has been up for adaptation for what seems like forever. Michele Saovi was once going to helm a Dylan Dog film before he changed the story up a bit and made Cemetery Man. So finally years later the film is finally coming together with Kevin Munroe at the helm with scribes Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly.

Variety reports today that Brandon Routh (Superman) will play a private investigator who is drawn into the world of the undead. This new adaptation of the comic will also be changing its title from Dylan Dog to Dead of Night. A good move if you ask me, it just sounds more appealing.

The original comic created by Tiziano Sclavi, "Dylan Dog" was first published in 1986 and has been translated into 17 languages. Platinum Studios and Hyde Park will produce.
