Versus Is Coming to America

Ryuhei Kitamura became one of my favorite directors with one insane movie that had gangsters, zombies, cops and samurai all rolled into one. Versus. Upon viewing this movie at a convention I quickly picked myself up a bootleg copy because at the time there was not even any interest in getting Japanese titles into the hands of the fans.

Today from Dread Central comes the news that Kitamura is going to make a U.S. version of Versus. Now the word wasn't even brought up over at DC but isn't this just a remake? or at least a re-invisioning? Well either way Kitamura says, "The U.S. Versus will be insane!".
