CHUD Remake Updates

Quite some time ago there was talk of a C.H.U.D. remake and the word was that Rob Zombie was the one who would give it to us. Of course that was very quickly debunked with Rob's people saying it was completely untrue. It would seem the rumor of a remake does have some truth to it since when we sat down with Brad Fuller at Comic Con he said that they had been approached to do the remake but PASSED on it.

Initially hearing they passed on a remake of CHUD was a shock but after thinking about it I suppose CHUD is alot tougher to do on a small budget and to do right. Remaking Friday the 13th is pretty simple. Guy with mask kills people. CHUD on the other hand involves alot bigger scenes and if you want to do it right.. its gonna take more money. Not sure why it was turned down but perhaps its just not an easy enough cash in.. who knows. Could a CHUD remake be fun? I think so.. but then again why not do something original?
