Release Date for Cabin In The Woods

Not long ago we gave you the heads up that MGM gave the greenlight to a script written by Joss Whedon and Cloverfield scribe Drew Goddard titled Cabin in the Woods. The film will be the directoral debut for Drew Goddard while Whedon will also Produce. The story for the film is being kept under wraps at this point.

Today we got news that the film will be released on October 23rd, 2009. I'm guessing that they are banking on one good weekend before they are completely shut out by Lionsgates Saw VI. Well that is if people still even care about the Saw films.

So we still don't know much about Cabin In The Woods except that it will be something about a cabin in the woods. I think that is a safe bet. Otherwise they are hoping to begin shooting in the Fall. Be sure to keep it here for more info as we get it.
