Ah the dreaded term of "reshoots", the very word conjures up visions of a mangled product needing repairs with some new material. Or in the case of the Weinsteins, a working film but needs some needless tweaking and scenes...cheap shot but they deserve it.
Before the fans (only two so far have come out on the site :P) looking forward to the teen vampire-romance get all panicked, MTV got a chance to chat to some of the cast. They said people have nothing to worry about.
Actor Peter Facinelli said: "They like it so much, they are bringing us back for some encore time to beef it up." Co-star Kellan Lutz added "I know they've been showing it to some people, and some people go 'I want to see a little more of this' or 'I don't quite understand this.'"
So, for the fans the cast is saying that Twilight is doing just fine. In the grand scheme of filmmaking, reshoots are more common than folks think. Mostly reshoots are simple touch-ups when during the editing process the filmmakers feel that some different angles or new ways to approach the scene or new scenes are needed to help smooth out the story. While as others (and the ones most hear about) happen when the film is horribly mangled and the studio tries to salvage the movie. Or in the case of the Weinsteins...see above jab.
With Harry Potter gone to July, Twilight slides into theaters on November 21.
