Vinyan Finds A HomeGoon
Yesterday the Toronto International Film Festival kicked off with a bang. But even before the celebration could begin some films in the line up had already sold. One of those films happened to be Calvaire helmer Fabrice du Welz's Vinyan. Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group nabbed the domestic rights to the film making it the first film sold at TIFF according to THR.
Fabrice Du Welz's film stars Rufus Sewell and Emmanuelle Beart as a couple searching for their missing son in a jungle filled with feral children. The film premiered last weekend at the Venice Film Festival and will show at the TIFF tonight. Of course no release plans have been announced yet. But I think we can all expect a very limited theatrical run followed by a DVD release. Keep it here for more.
