Johnny Depp is the Mad Hatter

Awhile back we had an insider send us a scoop that Tim Burton would be doing a horror take on Alice in Wonderland and today comes word from VARIETY that Johnny Depp will once again team with Burton and will play the role of the Mad Hatter in the film. The film will reportedly combine live action and animation but no idea on what studio will be doing the film.

Alice in Wonderland done as a horror movie would be damn cool but I am not sure if the idea would sell at all or do well with mainstream audiences. RayXDoll one of the community members has pointed out there is a french horror novel based on Alice in Wonderland so it could very feasibly be a source for a horror movie based on Alice.
