Well in something that has kind of slipped by, Sam Raimi's Ghost House Underground has a huge slate of 8 DVD's coming out in about a week on October 14th.  We have had news on Ghost House Underground acquiring several of these films, but somehow we missed the fact that they are all receiving a DVD release on the same day.  I only figured this out when i saw the advertisments at the top of our own site.  Some of these titles might be quite interesting to check out, as there are a few that I have been eagerly awaiting release.  Below are the 8 DVD's that Ghost House Underground are launching at us on October 14th.

Dance of the Dead:  Director Gregg Bishop brings us the story that takes place on the night of the big high school prom. The dead rise to eat the living and the only people who can stop them are the losers who didnt get dates to the dance. Dance of the Dead stars Jared Kusnitz who we saw earlier this year in the film Otis.

Dark Floors: Directed by Peter Riski and starring the Finnish metal group Lordi, Dark Floors
follows parents who are concerned for their autistic daughters health.  The father sees a removal from the hospital by force as the only option. An elevator break-down prevents a smooth exit and renders them trapped with others. They soon realize hospital that the hospital has mysteriously become a portal for dark creatures from a different world.

Brotherhood of Blood: Written and Directed by Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer and starring Sid Haig, Ken Foree, and Victoria Pratt, Brotherhood of Blood is a claustrophobic thriller about a team of vampire hunters who infiltrate a nest of undead to rescue one of their own.

The Last House in the Woods: This is an Italian horror film that was directed by Gabriele Albanesi.  It stems around a woman who escapes a group of bullies seeking to rape her and sghe takes refuge with a seemingly kind couple who have a dark secret hidden in their quiet, secluded house.

No Mans Land- The Rise of the Reeker:  A follow up to the 2005 film Reeker, writer/director Dave Payne return to the sequel about a sheriff and his son who are chasing casino robbers, only to find the all of them are being chased by something else.

Room 205: This is a Danish film about a young girl name Katrine, who wants a fresh start so she moves into a university dormitory.  She quickly learns a local myth about a ghost of a former resident who was killed in the dormitory. The myth soon becomes a terrifying reality.

The Substitue: Another Danish film, The Substitute is a sci-fi/horror/fantasy film revovling around a group of sixth-grade students in a small town that begin to realize that their new substitute teacher is an alien. When their parents don't believe them, they are forced to take matters into their own hands.

Trackman:  Trackman is a RUssian slasher film wher a perfect bank heist turns deadly when the robbers and their hostages flee to an abandoned underground subway station.  It is at the station where they encounter the Trackman, a deformed madman that prowls the darkness.

So there is a brief rundown of all 8 films being released by Ghoust House Underground.  I personally have heard GREAT things about Dance of the Dead, so that is one that might be worth everyone checking out.  I know there are fans of Reeker, so the sequel may be of some interest, and Brotherhood of Blood has a great cast that makes it worth giving a chance.  The rest might all be hit or miss, but there is definately plenty for people to check out from Ghost House Underground when October 14th rolls around.
