The Road Being Pushed Back

The film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's "The Road" appears to be getting pushed back from its initial release date of November 14th. According to THR they really want to release the film sometime this year but with the Weinsteins already lining up another film with a December push its not looking good.

The Road is also said not to be even finished at this point so that is something else that the distributors of the pic are dealing with at the moment. I can imagine they don't want to dump into January so the prospects of the film are now looking very dim. At least for us seeing the film soon. Only time will tell at this point.

The Road revolves around a nameless man who is trying to get his son to safety after a nuclear fallout. Unfortunately the road to keeping his son safe turns into a nightmare as it is dangerously filled with survivors who have turned into mutated cannibal armies.  It stars Viggo Mortensen, Charlize Theron, Robert Duvall, and Guy Pearce.
