Former WCW / WWF wrester Rob "The Stro" Kellum is to star in Deader Country, the forthcoming sequel to Andrew Merkelbach's 2008 film Dead Country, in a specially written scene. Kellum will appear as his alter ego for a heated phone conversation with a local radio personalty. This is Kellum's second horror film appearance, having recently played Killer in 12-24, alongside Tiffany Shepis.

Another name who's recently signed to appear in Deader Country and has also taken on the role of co-writer, is british screenwriter Ben Trebilcook, who wrote the acclaimed screenplay spec 'Die Hardest' and also worked on an earlier incarnation of Mission: Impossible 3. Trebilcook is currently looking to produce his first feature titled 'Daisy Scarlett: Semper Occultus', which has been called by UK press a 'female James Bond'.

Whilst wagging school, two teenagers stumble across a strange hybrid creature, a beast that is half man, half alien and ALL zombie, which has managed to make its way unseen across desolate countryside to the town of Pleasance.
