Casting Begins On The Hole - HorrorMovies.ca

THR reports that Teri Polo and Haley Bennett have signed on for Joe Dante's The Hole. The film scripted by Mark L. Smith centers on Susan (Polo), a mother who moves with her teen sons to a rural house where the three are forced to face their fears after discovering a bottomless hole in the basement. Bennett will play Julie, a neighbor who is attracted to one of the sons.

This will also be another film added to the already growing number of films being shot in 3-D. We haven't had a chance to really check out how horror will work in 3-D but with a bunch of titles including My Bloody Valentine 3-D and Final Destination 4 we will get a good idea by the time this film gets its release. Production is scheduled to begin on December 5th in Vancouver.
