Malek Akkad Confirms Halloween 2

It seems that for quite some time there has been talk about a possible follow up to Rob Zombie's Halloween. Of course we have all known that Rob Zombie would not be returning as he stated several times that it was going to be a one and done project for him.

Over the weekend Dread Central was in attendance at the Halloween: 30 Years of Terror convention in California. During their stay they learned from Producer Malek Akkad that the next WILL be a direct sequel to Rob Zombies film. No details on the story yet but he also confirmed that Tyler Mane will be back as Michael Myers. Pre-production is expected to begin in January with shooting beginning in March.

Still no word on who will direct this addition either. Last word was that Inside directors Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Baury but Malek could not confirm if that had been finalized. It will be interesting to see what route they take this movie especially with the way Rob Zombie ended the first.
