Demonic Toys 2 Begins This Month

B-D just got word from director Silvia St. Croix that he will soon be behind the helm for Demonic Toys 2. St. Croix is not unfamiliar with the Full Moon label having recently directed Gingerdead Man 2. Filming is expected to take place in two weeks in Rome, Italy.

The sequel goes something like this: While on a trip to help a eccentric collector of bizarre oddities, young David and his girlfriend Caitlin are forced to fight for their lives when they find themselves trapped in an ancient Roman castle as the Demonic Toys are brought back to life by a mysterious ancient puppet who sets them on a course for murder. Only the fulfillment of an ancient evil curse can save them. But will anyone be alive to be saved in the end?

I was a huge fan of the original 1992 film. Since that film they have done a couple less stellar films like Demonic Toys vs Dollman and Demonic Toys vs Puppet Master. My hope is that they can bring this film back to its roots from the first film and hopefully retain their original look and not what we saw from the last disaster. Demonic Toys 2 is planned to be released on DVD and VOD in 2009.
