Bloody Valentine DVD Uncut

A few weeks ago, it was announced that Lionsgate would be releasing the original My Bloody Valentine onto DVD before the 3D remake hits theaters.  It was revealed the nearly ten minutes of deleted footage would be included, though the question was raised if the footage would be put back in or would appear in a deleted scene section.

The folks over at STYD found out the good news today.  Yes, the footage will be put back into the film.  The producers of the disc are currently reinstating the excised footage into the film.  Apparently the transfer is looking pretty good.

My Bloody Valentine hits DVD with the following special features:

  • Original Uncut Edition
  • Featurette about the making of the film
  • Ultimate Slasher: Interactive guide to the evolution of the slasher genre

Would like to see a commentary, but since its an uncut version and if the featurette is solid enough, it'll be worth shelling out the money for the disc. My Bloody Valentine Unrated hits DVD on January 13 with the remake arriving on January 16.
